Update on 62 GEORGE STREET

  |   Uncategorized

62 GEORGE STREET has entered its 10th glorious year with clients including GKIDS, the National Film Board of Canada, & Cartoon Saloon. Founder, Jamie Bolio, scans the globe in search of high-quality independent animated films from around the world.

Her work & trusted aesthetic in film recently led Jamie to serve as Director of International Outreach & Content Acquisition for a global streaming service. She was instrumental in curating the platform by procuring high-quality independent animation to showcase.

Jamie has played a key role during the awards season, specializing in industry outreach on the promotional / awards campaigns for:

THE SECRET OF KELLS, CAT IN PARIS, CHICO & RITA, ERNEST & CELESTINE, THE TALE OF THE PRINCESS KAGUYA, SONG OF THE SEA, WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE, BOY AND THE WORLD, MY LIFE AS A ZUCCHINI, BLIND VAYSHA, THE BREADWINNER, LATE AFTERNOON, ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR, & MIRAI.

All 14 films went on to garner Oscar®-nominations.

She is able to spend the spring & summer in Europe attending film festivals, film markets, partnering with studios / schools / training programs, organizing artist tours & masterclasses, consulting on & scouting for projects, helping recruit talent, reviewing pitches, scripts, films & portfolios.
