Kíla is an Irish folk music/world group (originally formed in Dublin, in 1987) and is currently made up of members: Rossa Ó Snodaigh, Rónán Ó Snodaigh, Colm Ó Snodaigh, Dee Armstrong, Eoin Dillon, Seanán Brennan, Brian Hogan, & Dave Hingerty.

The band collaborated with French composer Bruno Coulais on the soundtrack for Cartoon Saloon’s two Oscar®-nominated animated films: The Secret of Kells (2010) and Song of the Sea (2014).
Also in 2010, Kíla was heavily featured in Maeve Murphy’s controversial Beyond the Fire and Ciarán O’Connor’s Trafficked, as well in the the award-winning documentary film Fight or Flight.
Song of the Sea has won Best Music at the Monstra festival in Lisbon and, the documentary, The Secret Life of the Shannon won Best Music at the Green Screen Film Festival in Berlin.
Cartoon Saloon fans may recognize a few of these songs (from the album, Soisin)………………..
Beautiful.
