Missing Annie…

Martin & Annie Elvin - Circa 1990

The Animation industry has lost an extraordinary member of our community…

Annie Elvin was an overseas animation supervisor, a color supervisor, a character colorist, a color model designer and she headed up the paint & trace department when I was first starting out in animation.

Among the vast number of films Annie worked on, several of those include CORPSE BRIDE, The Rug Rats movies, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, AMERICAL TAIL II: FIEVEL GOES WEST and WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT.

Annie interviewed me in London for my first job in animation – and thanks to Annie (+ VFX Artist Craig Clark who made the initial introduction & Steve Hickner who hired me), I (as well as countless others) began my career in London so many years go.

This opportunity changed the course of my life and I will be forever grateful.

Annie Elvin was loving & kind, generous, funny, smart, savvy and talented.
She will be deeply missed…

If any of you would like to donate to the tribute fund bearing her name, it is in contribution to Macmillan Cancer Support, “because of the fantastic support they gave her and her family during her long illness.”

Thank you.
